International Festival of the Arts – Atlanta
At Southern Event Synergy we like to think BIG! So we asked ourselves, what is it that the “Cultural Hub of the Southeastern United States” does not have? The answer? – A time focused event that shares the city’s cultural fare with the world and also brings a taste of the arts from around the globe to Atlanta. Thus, we are in the planning stages for a 7-10 day happening – a gathering to celebrate the visual and performing arts. And we base this event on similar happenings in other cities like Edinburgh, San Francisco, Melbourne, and Sydney. It provides an opportunity to solidify the role of Atlanta as the preeminent regional center for the arts.
Cypress Street Music Festival
It’s all about music. Situated in the quiet of Cypress Street, just one block from both Peachtree and West Peachtree Streets in Midtown Atlanta, the Cypress Street Music Festival is a celebration of Spring and features several stages with live music, an All About Music Artist Market, StrEATS, kid’s activities, jam socials and more. Think Midtown Atlanta is cool? Well, it is getting “more cool”.
An autumn celebration of one of Atlanta’s hip and on the edge art districts – West Midtown – WestFest features a juried artist market, live music, gallery walks, street food and more.
The HairBall – ATL
An event within an event, the HairBall is a party with cause. Intended to be a bit left of center, the HairBall offers live music, dancing, light fare, cash bar, silent auction and more. Dress chic, casual, or however you like – as long as you dress – and we will have prizes for the “best theme outfit”. What is the theme? BIG HAIR! of course. 100% of net proceeds from the HairBall will benefit the Atlanta Humane Society.
Holiday Lights and Market
Designed to bring the festival spirit of European Christkindl Markets to holiday shoppers, Holiday Lights and Market is an open-air seasonal market sure to provide a unique shopping experience and an opportunity to find that special gift for that special someone. Enjoy the spirit of the season with music, food, the holiday artist/gift market, sparkling lights and more.
First Day 5K
Get the New Year rolling, or better yet, running in the right direction and join us for an early afternoon run on New Year’s Day, Tuesday, January 1, 2013. Why afternoon? Well, we recognize that many people play late into the evening on New Year’s Eve, so sleep-in on New Year’s Day and join us for a wake up run at 1:00 p.m. Each year we select a cause to donate a portion of the proceeds. This year, we will make a donation on behalf of all First Day 5K participants to the Hurricane Sandy Relief effort.
Thanks to our sponsors and supporters including Red Brick Brewing Company, Phidippides-Ansley Mall, Phidippides-Sandy Springs, RunGeorgia.com, Running4Fitness.com, Active.com, Road Race Services, Southern Event Synergy and more.
Atlanta Torch Light Run
Yes, it might be very cool to have hundreds of people running/walking through the streets of the city with flaming torches, even if it is an organized thing. However, we have chosen to pursue a safer route by using battery operated torches. Stay tuned for more details…
